Review on ๐Ÿคฒ DonJoy UltraSling IV: Enhancing Shoulder Support and Comfort by Scott Ramu

Innovative strap reduces neck strain

UltraSling IV I liked the fact that the support strap wraps around the opposite arm and helps reduce the strain on the neck that occurs when wearing a wrap around the neck can. I wore a cheap hospital bandage after dislocating my shoulder and it caused neck pain with constant use for about a week. The intravenous infusion prevents the belt from putting pressure on the neck and cervical spine. Also, a dropper allows you to wear a cold compression sleeve as you can see in the picture, and the dropper strap doesn't interfere with insertion or removal. I thought the drip might feel uncomfortable in the armpit because it wraps around your entire opposite shoulder, but I've had no complaints related to its placement. The dropper is really easy to put on and take off, the two buckles on the front are easy to reach and there are two Velcro straps that are nice to work with too. The pillow has its own strap that wraps around your waist and can be removed if your doctor allows, and you can use just one sling. Hospitals should offer this bandage to patients after dislocations or shoulder surgeries. The only downside to an IV is that it's expensive, but the whole episode is expensive (cost of the surgery and associated medical bills) and the IV makes that awful experience that little bit better.
