So far I like this cup setting. I'm new to welding, but the shortness of this cup allowed me to squeeze into a joint that I couldn't get into with my standard cups. For those who say the glass tumbler only moves because it's held by a ring: fold the rings in half and there's no problem. I draw cup (freshman status, dgaf) all the time and haven't had any problems at all. However, I recommend you to increase the range with these cups. These cups are very wide and you will need an extra burr to get the electrode back to the same distance you previously had with the longer and thinner aluminum oxide cups. In these photos, the descent quickly turned out to be too short. Would definitely buy again in a heartbeat.
