I installed these in my regular 2009 F150 cab with high expectations. I used them to replace a set of JBL coaxial speakers to improve the soundstage. with 120W RMS and paired with a 10" subwoofer that crosses over at around 80Hz. Firstly it's really not 6x8 as advertised, they are made for 5x7 holes which is unfortunately common in this category but they have left visible air gaps .that weren't in JBL. The diaphragm was about 1/2" smaller than the JBL's which contributed to them barely playing bass/mid bass. They are very bright even with the tweeters on their quietest setting until I set everything above 4kHz to -6dB on my EQ and when you add a little bass boost from the amp they just start to distort and I'm able to get my subwoofer at a decent crossover pu Can't adjust adequately, and while they sounded nice and clear, my ears tire almost immediately without the aforementioned EQ adjustments, and I lack too much mid-bass to keep it going. Replacing them with JBL components, they sound much smoother and can produce a lot more mid-bass (plus no air gaps around the frame) for the same size.
