I've had this lens for about 2 months now, mainly construction photography, and I'm very happy with the results of the several hundred photos I've taken with it. I have a D5500 crop sensor and shoot a lot indoors for work and play. This 20mm lens is significantly wider than my standard 18-55mm 18 focal length kit lens. So if you are in an environment where backup is not available, this lens is a perfect choice. I have the opportunity to take 2-3 photos instead of 6-7 and put them together. Or just take 1 instead of sewing 2-3 together. I also find the distortion at setting 10 visually appealing when photographing large buildings or vehicles, it gives them a larger than life feel. The optics are wonderful, clear and the autofocus is fast and accurate. The lens hood is nice but basic but be careful you can't use the built in flash with it, it creates a shadow (same problem with many lens hoods)
