I saved over $600 to replace my two keys on my 2008 Prius. I went to YouTube for the instructions as they weren't included. I kept the original key and used a screwdriver and letter opener to open the case. I ordered two units. One was missing the metal part at the top, but I just used the original from my old key. My keys were almost 10 years old and now look like new. To remove the battery cover, the case is pushed open from the back, then take a small screwdriver to open the door, and the battery comes out easily. Uses a 2032 battery, which can be purchased at the store.
