I bought these because I'm tired of the cheaper license plate frames that look corroded after a short while. I paid double for these stainless steel frames and expected positive results. Having had a very mild winter here in the Philadelphia area and having the car in the garage most of the time, I never expected the screw covers to corrode the way they did. Not only that, I can't remove the screw covers and I have to drill them to remove them. I am very disappointed in this product and would not recommend it to anyone who lives in an area where snow and roads are treated. I know rust free means "fewer stains" but this product is the worst! Edit: The people/owners of Compact Colossus contacted me about this purchase. They apologized and offered a full refund and a free set of new screw caps that shouldn't corrode. They also let me know that they are releasing a new version of the frame that will be better. I've upgraded my rating to four stars because of their customer service, but I still need to drill out the old screw covers and clean the frame. I would recommend them based on the customer service provided, however the product as purchased was not what I expected. So until a new model comes out I would skip it. I took advantage of their offer and waited for an updated product. UPDATE: The people/owners of Compact Colossus contacted me and offered me a free pair of their new and improved license plate frames to prove to me that their product really is an improvement. I took their offer and installed them on our Acura and Honda. You definitely look great! The screw caps have a different design and look very nice. Now that we're entering winter, I can't wait to see how they do, so stay tuned! I believe that this company works together. They really care about customer service!
