The heads float on the skin and cut off the hair instead of pulling it out. The engine is powerful but quiet. I get about 2 hours of use from a full charge. You can also use it on the mains when the battery runs out. It takes approximately 3 hours to fully charge an empty battery. You can also use it in the shower, no problem. The device is ergonomic and maneuvers very easily around the contours of the face and neck. For less than 50 euros this is a very good rotary shaver. 5 Stars
