After shopping around I used these all over in my new project. One over the tub and one over the potty in a small bathroom. 4 in the corners of the living room set to soft white for fill around the center ceiling fan/light. Another 6 in a grid for a small kitchen. And then 30 (5x6) in a 24'x24' room. The 30 make it a step above kitchen brightness levels, but that is what I wanted for that room. Some notes:* When buying multiple boxes be careful to keep the bases and lights matched up. I found two slightly different versions of lights with the exact same model number. You could only tell by this 31v-40v line in the text of the label. The 31V lights worked everywhere, but the 31V boxes only worked with the 31V lights. When 10 lights from the big grid didn't light up I puzzled for a long time until I figured it out. And then I had to search all over the attic to find which lights to swap.* The 'newer' 3CCT version of these work fine, but they are a lot cheaper. The light is thicker. The box is flimsier and instead of the push-in electrical connections, you get little cheap wire nuts that will only hold a signal wire.* I keep seeing a 6.2in hole. I used a true 6in drill bit so those lights fit in exactly. You did need to be careful when installing them, but then the small flange fit just fine.* When thinking about a big grid remember the cost of all the wire and stables and strain connections for the boxes. And it does take time.My install method for the big grid. Before drywall, I installed the boxes and used a chalk line to get them lined up nicely in rows. After drywall, in the attic I drilled small holes using a square from a corner of the boxes. That way they are all straight and the same number of inches from the studs. Then I dropped an open zip-tie into the hole. Now from below I verify by placement by looking at the zip-ties and then drill the big holes. This saved me 2 lights that would have been wrong.
