Not exactly what I expected and I'm good at soldering.

Like anything that requires expertise, these items require proper maintenance, not only for the quality of the item, but also for the skill and quality of the installer. I have many years of soldering experience and have the necessary tools. I bought these to replace 3 stepper motors and 4 light bulbs in my 2005 Suburban. The lamps were easy to install and resulted in adequate lighting. The best way to check which bulbs aren't working is to remove the circuit board and use a 9 volt battery with a snap-on power cord with stripped ends. You place the two ends on the two schematic tabs of one of the bulbs and the viola. All good lights will come on. Like stepper motors. I used absorbent braid to clean the existing stepper motor solder joints. I then reinstalled the new ones and made sure the new insertion point had solder and connector wires on the correct tabs. Nice clean install. As a result, the first stepper motor gave completely wrong data. It reads past the peak and then past the trough and jumps all over the place. without the engine running. I removed that stepper and installed a second one. This time the dial didn't read well at all. Finally I installed the third one in the same place. Every 3 times I started by replacing the stepper with a touch. It seemed to work properly this time. Yes. But I found that 2 stepper motors don't work properly. So I contacted the seller. I explained that I didn't trust the other engines and was tired of disassembling and reassembling the dashboard every time. The seller then asked me to request a refund even though I had used one of the motors and some of the lamps. I tried to request a partial refund but was only able to get a full refund. I explained everything but still received a full refund. I suspect QA/QC doesn't exist because they are very small items that are mass produced. I just think it should be pointed out that some of them may not work properly. Anyway, my experience was good but disappointing. I'm looking for other options but I think they are all made in the same place.
