After much deliberation, I decided on the CANON SX20 and am pleased with my decision. We're still at war in some moments (with moving things), but I think that's more because of my own shortcomings than the cameras'. In overall, the gadget is pleased. There are benefits: Excellent color reproduction, rotating display, user-friendliness, proficiency in macro photography, and picture quality that holds up even at maximum zoom. As for the negatives: Not only did I lose the cap, but the battery life indicator was useless (luckily I had a spare set of batteries in my backpack).
