As a result, it worked. The key fob is slightly thicker than the original key fob. The difference is pretty small to be honest, but there is a difference. When I threw the guts of the original into this keychain, it didn't work very well at all. (The lock button worked on every 4th or 5th try even when I was really close. The unlock button didn't work at all. Tried a few different things but what ended up working was the new key fob's inner rubber didn't to use but with a rubberized lining from the original keychain It's still a bit finicky but works well enough.
