Just received the thermometer yesterday (2 weeks earlier than predicted thank goodness) and it seems to be working fine. I haven't taken my temperature in many years so I can't tell if it's giving me the right reading, but at least I have something to say now when I have a fever. In this time of coronavirus - I needed it. Extremely easy to use. I put in the batteries (included), removed the cap from the end, held it to my ear and it immediately beeped letting me know it had taken my temperature. Then I put the cover back on, lightly touched my forehead, and immediately beeped again. Very happy with it. I can't imagine that more expensive stuff would be better.
