I bought it for its apparent simplicity, its very good reviews (bots?) and its retro look. It's less than 6 months old and has been used 30 times at most as I'm not a fan of microwave food but use it for guests and to heat up coffee. It was used today. A few seconds into its cycle, I was walking past the pantry where it was stored and heard a loud noise like "zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzpt zzzzzzzzzzpt" and the loud hum of the transformer underneath. He grabbed the fire extinguisher and waited for the flames. Instead, it finally stopped. The FI wall circuit breaker did not trip and all sockets worked afterwards. The microwave smelled slightly burned inside. I have to conclude that it has serious problems and I certainly won't be using it again. I will update this after contacting the company.
