It didn't work for me in my fountain. The seller's photos show him in the bird bath, fountain and pool but I don't think he's cut out for all those things. It's quiet here and I have good water flow, suitable for my little bird fountain. First, it didn't fit in my well. My fountain has this rounded, acorn-shaped center piece (you can see it in the background of the photo) where you place the pump. This one didn't fit, it was too wide. The second problem is the ring of light. The seller's photos show the pump without the light ring in the bird bath, fountain, pool and even three aquarium photos. I assumed this meant the ring was removable. No, that is not so. You are shown a pump without a ring, which is also misleading. The ring is attached to the pump with a cord and cannot be removed or even turned off. As soon as you turn on the pump, the lights come on. Even if it could fit in my fountain, I wouldn't like these lights. I wouldn't want these lights in a bird bath either. And I definitely wouldn't expose the poor fish to that light 24/7, they need the darkness to sleep just like us.
