Nice board. The pieces stay in place even when the board is held upright. Used it on a plane with a lot of turbulence and all parts stayed in place. I like that it has little pockets for parts. Great for travel, but be aware it's 12 x 12 so isn't as compact. I chose this board over a more compact board because I needed room to fit my large hands. It has also replaced our magnetic whiteboard as our main whiteboard. Please note: the chess game was good at the beginning but now that my 13 year old is training she wins more than me. This is a clear and present danger to both my ego and my parental superiority. It WILL happen if you let your kids play a lot and give them chess books to read! You have been warned!
