Great value instant read thermometer and cheaper competitor to another instant read Inkbird thermometer, the IHT-1P. As with the IHT-1P, the performance of the BBQGO BG-HH1C compares favorably to the more expensive Thermapen. I did a head-to-head comparison and found that Thermapen read BBQ Go in a matter of seconds. Unlike the $79-$99 Thermapen or $24.99 for the Inkbird IHT-1P, the BBQ Go is only $12.99. , and can be calibrated (although I have never had to calibrate the IHT-1P in 9 months of use). The differences are that it's slightly smaller and lighter, it's not waterproof, it doesn't have a backlight, and it uses a removable CR1632 lithium battery compared to the internal rechargeable lithium battery; However, at around half the price of the Inkbird IHT-1P, it's still a great value and very powerful device.
