Review on Gamblin Artist Oil Colors Introductory Set, Multi - Vibrant 37ml Tubes for Artistic Brilliance by Barbara Simmons

Revainrating 5 out of 5

No clumps of unground pigment!

I compared all brands of varnish that I know of. The Gamblin brand is by far the best I've found. The reason is this: in these tubes you get a lot more pigment and a lot less medium, ie oils. As a result, this paint is significantly more economical to use. Relative color comparison on par with everyone else. You may also find with other brands that the pigments are not finely ground, especially with raw umber. However, rest assured that you won't find any large chunks of unground pigment in the Gamblin series. This can be very annoying when you're dealing with a hyper-realistic painting. love the product.
