I bought the Trail Gator before I got my son a bike and I don't think I'll ever use it. Pros: 1. These training wheels are higher quality than the ones that came with my son's bike.2. The system works well and eliminates the need for tools to remove the training wheels. Cons: 1. Due to the decorative chain guard on the 16 inch CARS bike, they will not fit without modification. I found the training wheels that came with the bike to be very easy to remove and flip. Although the standard training wheels aren't as strong, they will fit without modification. Training wheels have not been used for a long time so I think over time I will focus on the ones that came with the bike.
