My old analog load tester died and I needed a replacement. I did some research and decided to try a digital battery analyzer. I gave a family member another model for Christmas a few years ago and they talked about how great it was and really helped them track down and determine the best time to replace some dead batteries. Competitors and after reading more than a dozen reviews I decided to buy Foxwell bt705. Reviews indicated that it was durable and easy to use, and had plenty of time to use it in the car. I received an analyzer and used it to test 5 batteries. A battery I thought was probably ready for replacement, it just needed charging. The other battery I was looking to replace also had a lifespan, so I probably won't be replacing it in another year. The biggest difference between the one I bought as a gift and this one is that this one will also test your starter and alternator. I was able to take it out of the hard case it comes in, plug it in and check my batteries. The instruction manual stayed in the suitcase. The on-screen prompts tell you everything you need to check the battery, starter and alternator. You can test the battery when it's plugged in in the car or you can test it when it's outside the car. The gift had to be outside the car. I had to search the internet to find out what SOH and SOC are. I felt silly once I saw what it was, but I was very happy that it delivered those values. In summary, I think I got a great product at a reasonable price. It's very easy to use. The only downside for me is the rolling up of the cables and trying to close the hard case is difficult. I wish companies would realize that it would be a lot easier if they made a hard case that had to have shelves at the top and bottom so you could wrap the cables for storage than trying to pack the cables to fit within a specific area . So my only downside to the hard case. Others, on the other hand, do not come into a difficult case. Overall 5 stars all day.
