All battery reviews are correct, I should have heard. They never charge even though I left them 3 days in a row. After about 4.5 hours they are dead. I went and bought some regular alkaline batteries in case the rechargeable ones were bad, but the result is the same. My old Uniden radios can last for days on the same batteries. My old walkie-talkies are 6 miles long and these are 26 miles long and yet both give you about 1/4 mile. The extra tap is useless. I have to say that the sound quality was very good.
