Although this satin sheet set is very thin it is acceptable. The color matched the other turquoise pieces in the bedroom perfectly. All satin sheets are slippery. This shouldn't be said, but several reviews from this and other brands indicate that this is a downside. To prevent slipping too much, I always place the top sheet upside down. Lying above the covers when the bed is made, it is perfectly visible. I prevent pilling by dipping my feet in the bathtub when showering. I dry my feet well and then, while they're wet, sand them with a hand sander to remove dead and rough skin. Or I sometimes wear very soft socks, especially in winter. In general, I've loved satin bedding for many years (twenty-five+). And satin is good for your hair. While some reviews list polyester satin as inferior, another option is silk satin, which is prohibitively expensive. I'm just as happy without the cost of silk. I only gave it four stars because of its thickness. Otherwise it is fully functional.
