I bought this to wear as a handbag under a long evening dress on my daughter's wedding day. I put it on the inside of my calf and it worked like a charm. No one could tell what it was on me, and I could pin and pin lipstick, a pack of gum, an envelope with a tip. At some point in the evening I even put my cell phone down and still no one understood it. The ends of the straps are placed in long loops sewn to the product and they lie fairly evenly. When I first tried it on I was a bit confused and thought the straps would be loose making it unusable for a discreet handbag but after playing around a bit I figured out the loops and everything was great.
