Review on Taylor Panel Mount Thermometer 40 150C 40 300F by Dexter Rasberry

I love this device for the low price, easy readability and functionality (smartphone with GIS) - but sadly in the last 4 years I've destroyed at least four of those thermometers. I work in the field and measure the water temp and for some reason (perhaps heavy use) they keep failing for various reasons, mostly at the point where the wire enters the box. When they work, they're great and I give them away too. Last I heard nobody broke them. As a fisherman, I use them to measure water temperature, but as a part-time fish biologist, I'll probably need to buy something more reliable.
