Seems to be a great product

PRODUCT IS NOT SUPPORTED BY COMPANY. Purchase at your own risk. It seemed like a great product and reviews on Revain and online gave good recommendations. However, my experience was very different. The unit failed after only 3 months and after an agonizing customer service experience with multiple calls I finally got a refurbished unit (NOT brand new) which failed again after another 2 months. Since their warranty only covers a replacement (regardless of the defect), I lost money AND the router. RECOMMENDATION: ZERO STARS and DO NOT BUY A TP-LINK PRODUCT! Painful details: Good: 1. Easy to set up2. Interface good (not great) 3. Throughput was as expected from the AC19004. I was able to set up a wireless bridge with my old Asus router without any problems. BAD: 1. WAN port (internet) stopped working after 3 months. I've tried all the usual solutions (reboot/disconnect, new Cat 5e cable, factory reset) to no avail. I connected another router (AsusRT-N66W) and it connected immediately.2. I called support. They ignored the fact that I had already tried their solutions. I've spent over an hour working with my pre-programmed solution list with no success and no solution.3. Called back a day later but had to go through the whole routine AGAIN. Offered a replacement but was never able to connect and get permission. Note. During these troubleshooting sessions, no one else could use the internet. Gave up after another hour or so.4. They called a third time and eventually found a person who agreed to a replacement. As per their guarantee, they send you the referral unit and you send the old one back. Did that and everything was fine… 2 more months. Since their warranty states 1 replacement, I've had no luck. Admittedly I haven't bothered to call support again as I don't have time to spend 2-3 hours getting it working and have no hope of a replacement. Recommendation: There are many better options now, such as B. inexpensive mesh routers (like Google) or individual Wi-Fi routers for about the same price. Based on my experience with their support team DO NOT BUY any TP-Link product unless you enjoy long support calls and Wi-Fi settings that change every few months!
