Despite a very nice first impression in person this collar's design was too hard to live with in the real world while on our 7 month old puppy and we stopped using it after only one week. The design's idea of slipping one end of the collar through a big metal ring on the other end before you can connect the buckle creates several problems the worst of which was chronic twisting despite the size (XS) being correct and not too loose. The metal ring is very large, but not so large that our dog's small ID and Avid Microchip tags attached to the black plastic mini loop would pass through without a lot of snagging and problems. We did try moving the tags to the big ring itself which worked better but they then got in the way when we were connecting/disconnecting the leash and of course the twisting problems continued either way. Eventually we gave up on this one and ordered a completely different collar the Kruz PET Breathable Mesh Dog Collar (ebay #KZA102-02XS) a similar thickness padded collar with a more traditional design and buckle and it has worked out very well in every way.
