We spent a lot of time and a few days deciding which of the many sweepers we wanted to try. Although we only have one rug in our living room and two small rugs in our bedroom, we use this sweeper very effectively for them, on our laminate flooring and when picking up kitty litter near the litter box on the bathroom tiles. This sweeper has two nice big compartments and I emptied them twice in one round around our apartment. The photo shows all the cat hair, the remains of a scratching post and other small particles from our carpets. It works so-so on kitty litter, but better than nothing. It fits under most furniture and under the bed and has a nice long reach (adjustable). All I had to do was detangle the hair around the sweeper that was left over after three uses. When working with laminate and tile, sometimes you have to lift the sweeper and stand it on clumps of dust so it can pick it up. The corner brushes grab some things but don't throw them in the trash, so sometimes you have to guide your foot to the trash can. This sweeper does not stick to the carpet fabric. It's heavy enough not to tip over when in use, yet light enough to be handled and get what you want to do without pulling out the vacuum and adjusting. For all of these reasons we thought this was a great little product and would buy it again should the need arise.
