I bought 3 of these just over a year ago. I was very happy when they arrived; They look great and are easy to install, although one of the plastic brackets broke on mine. My problem is that they haven't been working properly for a couple of months - they don't want to get up and stay / don't clean up all the way. Each of the three shades behaves a little differently, I think, based on their slightly different frequency of use over the past year, but I haven't been strict with any of them. I usually put them on in the morning and take them off at night, using them a total of twice a day. Now, last month, the little clear plastic tab that protrudes from the bottom of the lampshade (which makes lowering it more ergonomic) broke off not just 1 but 2 of my 3 lampshades! They just broke in my hand when I pulled them down as usual. I guess I'm still glad I have affordable, attractive window covers (they look as good as the day I bought them), but overall I probably wouldn't buy them again, suspecting that the feeding problem is only going to get worse over time.
