Was looking for a little more protection to block oncoming rocks or debris raised by the vehicle which I don't think the original grille really protects. I've noticed that there is more dirt and debris in the engine bay that shouldn't have been there in the first place. I've been thinking about making a DIY mesh grid, but I just don't have the time to create one and attach it to the back. Grill. I stumbled upon a mesh grill on a Revain, it was exactly what I was looking for but it cost almost £125! So I continued my research and found these relative mesh inserts and decided to give them a try and here is my review. After installing in step 15 they don't fit snugly (as stated in the description as "perfect fit") in a small gap, so they come with 3m of adhesive to achieve a "perfect fit". Installation took a few minutes but it was a simple job other than peeling off the adhesive. I noticed that some of the inserts were sticking out slightly at the top, but I just pushed them down and the glue stuck. Hopefully this will reduce the amount of dirt getting into the engine bay. For the moment however I am satisfied with the product, as shown in the picture, it has reduced the space available to minimize the penetration of smaller particles. I wish the stitches were closer together, but if you have the time, a trip to the warehouse at home might get you the stitches. And put behind the OE grill with proper installation as shown in the YouTube video.
