The first thing I decided to do was figure out which reusable straw would work best for me

I saw the video. You know. the one with the sea turtle. It really made me reconsider using straws AND recycling in general, so I decided to put more effort into buying reusable straws and using less plastic. The first thing I decided to do was figure out which reusable straw would work best for me. I'm nervous about glass and stainless steel. I'm not sure why. I think I'm concerned about glass breakage (I know it's not 'normal' glass but I'm very picky about all my stuff so it's definitely still an issue). I decided to try these silicone straws first. I like that they don't feel or smell weird. I was worried about that. I like that they feel firm and aren't super soft. I'm glad they came with a mop. What I do not like. They seem to attract hair, and for a cat person who doesn't suckle enough, it's a bit of a nuisance. Everything seems to depend on them. Another Problem. My cat finds it very attractive. It's like he can smell them or something and he wants to chew on them so they probably won't last long in my house. UPDATE: It's been months and these straws are still alive. Judging by the way my cat was chasing them, I didn't think they would get there. However. I noticed that they are short. They don't fit in many reusable cups (like the ones with a screw top and a hole for a strawโ€”you know, the straw that always gets lost). While I enjoy using them at home and I love that they aren't superconducting the temperature of the liquid I'm drinking, they don't fit in my tall cups. I chose stainless steel straws because I found large ones. I also got the following: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07B733NGG/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_0 Both have been really great additions to my home.
