After seeing the Jelle ball run through the insulation, my kids love to create their own routes. We already have Mindware Elevator Marble Run by target, so we got a cheaper version to make our track longer. It fits Mindware parts, although not as closely as the real Mindware brand. We can mount our mindware track on carpet but with this set it works best on a flat surface like wood etc. My son loves having so many balls. and we needed them because we had lost many of the ones we already had. We had no problems with balls falling apart or parts sticking together. They have a strong grip as long as we hold them with their own set. We had to put a film on the part that we connected to the parts of Mindware.
