very good - cuts well

I used 3/8" bits on my lathe and they seemed to work fine. Then I decided to try them out, hoping the 1/2" bit would cut better and with less chatter. Day and night. Those beats were way better. Carbide cuts better, doesn't wobble and stays sharp longer. Worth every penny - despite being three times the price - the life and ease of use made it worth it.

Turning Tool Set

This is a great set of cutting tools. They all seem to have some sort of rust remover that should be scraped off completely. When used without cleaning, the heat from metalworking captures the small screw that holds the carbide insert in the holder. This makes it almost impossible to remove to swap out the insert. Once that's done, you won't be able to find better tools than these.

The set looks high quality. My first filming job with a set.

Kit appears to be of good quality. My first filming with the kit cut clean and neat. The matching cardboard liner appeared glued upside down as all the tools were placed cutters down where they couldn't be seen. overall still a good buy. If desired, it would be possible to add a full complementing set of inserts, allowing me to keep a free hand for each instrument.
