Very hard and uncomfortable. There is no arch support and while these shoes are lightweight, they feel flimsy. I had a pair of Salomon's that I used hiking/camping/etc for several years. have worn and they held up well and felt like they could take a beating. They feel cheap and the insole is too thin for any real support. Size was also a big problem for them. I first ordered 6.5 (1/2 size smaller than my usual). They were too big so I returned them for 6. STILL too big. It also seemed a little out of place. The shoes just don't look good. Two stars because the color is nice and the shoes are light. I sent them back and do not recommend buying them.
