Stop me if you've heard this before. Like many other reviewers, I was surprised when my car (a 2007 Nissan Altima 4 cylinder) suddenly rocked and the engine started to idle. I had trouble driving the car, especially at low revs, as the engine stuttered. I took it to the dealer who checked the trip computer and told me I had a misfire. They told me it would cost over $350 to fix and I would have to wait a few hours. After a little over 96,000 miles I replaced the spark plugs hoping they were the problem. no The computer told me that it was the second cylinder that failed. I called AutoZone and they said a new ignition coil would cost about $75. I hung up and found this set online. 4 for about $57. Fiction! Although I had to wait a day and a half, it was worth it. In less than 15 minutes I was able to change the ignition coil to the second cylinder and my car was running like new! I have 3 more in my truck along with a basic tool kit that ensures I can fix the problem quickly if it comes up again! Thanks to everyone whose feedback has convinced me I'm on the right track to solving this issue.
