Review on Enhanced Security with Kryptonite R2 2.4mm Retractor Combo Cable Bike Lock by Greg Anderson

I like that this lock is easy to carry (small, light, only 4 ounces) and the cable is long enough to attach the bike frame and front wheel to a rack/pointer or two too lock bike together. All locks can be picked, but that's enough to deter an adventurous thief. It was good for me for a while, but now it's unsettling me. I had trouble locking the end of the cable into the body of the device until I put it on. Mistake. I had to test this without running the cable through the bike's frame because I couldn't unlock it (looks like the unlock button on the side was the problem). I have some large two-hand cable cutters to free the bike, although it took a few tries to cut them as they were actually too big and the cable too small and somehow got stuck in the gap between the two cutting faces. I later found that the little Park Tool cutter went through the cable with no problem. However, I now know better (don't force it closed) and ordered another one right away because it's a very practical pocket lock for a quick stop. or where I'm close enough to follow the motorbike.
