Review on Furrion Vision S 7" Wireless RV Backup System with IR Night Vision and Wide Viewing Angles: Rear Sharkfin Camera and Side Running Light Cameras - FOS07TAEN by Michael Skerving

Reception is the biggest issue but overall pretty decent

I chose these because I needed a backup camera for my 33 foot trailer overall. I looked at several options but Furrion turned out to be the best monitor setup I could find. An additional plus was the pre-connection to the trailer. Works fine for me 95% of the time. It can get a little nervous at times when driving on the road, but for the most part it works well. Side cameras are of little use as I can get an idea of how close something really is and I still need my wife to notice me from my blind side. But back to space, it's amazing. You can really get a picture of what's behind you and one day it will save you and it will pay off. However, the rear camera and monitor are a must and very happy. The side cameras add little value but are still nice. I can't find any monitor brightness control and have tried all possible options. I would probably still get the side cameras if I bought them again as they might save me from a tail wagging incident one day. If the connection is good, the image is stable. Good luck using it as a security camera as you will almost certainly be hooking it up to the sidelights and so these are needed to turn on the cameras. Nothing prevents you from hooking them up to their own connection and having a switch, but it seems like too much work for little gain to me. Similarly, you'll need a 12-cigarette plug in your trailer to power the monitor, or 12v with a charger that's not included. For me it's just a must have when I'm driving and turning on the parking lights isn't a big deal to turn on the cameras.
