I want a product's description to match its properties when it arrives. This one does just that. It uses standard 13-gallon kitchen trash bags. There is a plastic ring that keeps the pouch neat and prevents it from sliding into the jar. The sensor is fairly sensitive and will pop up quickly if you move your hand (and your hip too if you get too close). There is a pause before it closes slowly enough that it doesn't "snap". We love it and recommend it to everyone in the budget kitchen trash can market.
