Review on 43 Count, Pack of 2 Seventh Generation Ultra Power Plus Dishwasher Detergent Packs with Fresh Citrus scent by Nikita Sweet

Leaves stains on dishes - not suitable for baby bottles

This is normal. Nothing special. I'm usually a cascading pod user, but wanted something with no added chemicals since I had all my baby's bottles/nipples in the dishwasher. Seventh General Ultra Powder Plus sachets are made from blue and white powder. I ALWAYS find spots of blue powder on my dishes after the dishwasher has finished its cycle. Even when rinsing with hot water, the blue powder does not completely dissolve and does not wash off. Not sure if it's my dishwasher (which is admittedly noisy, clumsy and not the newest) or those capsules? Honestly, if it was just a dish my husband and I used, I would just dry it and use it with no problem (a little bit of soap won't kill you). However, I feel less comfortable knowing my child is swallowing leftover milk soap. I always rinse her bottles/nipples just in case after washing them in the dishwasher. Not my favorite thing and I probably won't buy them again. PSA, I've also used 7th generation unscented dishwasher bags and have noticed dried soap residue on the plastic containers. I don't think it happened as often as it did with the Ultra Power Plus Packs.

Pros
  • Septic Safe. Sodium carbonate (mineral based) helps clean and remove dirt and oil, acts as a cleaner
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than other picks
