I bought it SPECIFICALLY to use with RaspberryPi. I've since found other uses for it. All my computers run on Linux. I have several headless machines that drop out occasionally and need a direct connection to fix them. I have a Zepter monitor that can be connected to: DVI; HDMI; and VGA sources, so it takes care of the video. With this little keyboard, as long as there's a USB port, I don't have to worry about finding a mouse and/or keyboard with the right connector for the box. Just plug the dongle into the USB port and I can control my mouse and keyboard. I'm currently working on a box; with an early 64-bit AMD Athlon processor; that has a BIOS date of 2007 and is working properly! Battery life should be great. I haven't changed the original batteries yet, although I often forget to turn off the power switch. Under the left "joystick" is a blue LED that shows you the power is on and the device is connected. There is also a yellow LED to the right of the blue LED that lets you know when you press a button. The only downside I encountered is that I need the "+"/"-" keys. something to do. To send "+" you need to press the SHIFT key at the same time. Whatever I tried to do didn't answer. I could see the response to the "-" key, but whatever I did was at the base point, so it didn't work. The beauty of Linux is; There is ALWAYS another way to do it. :) For the sake of convenience, I will AT LEAST buy one more of these devices!
