Size of fasteners mismatch

I usually buy dowels from one of the carpenters. Thought to try this. You get what you pay for. I found the diameter of these dowels to be inconsistent. Some were too small. I doubt I really saved any money as I had to carefully choose which dowels to use. I will not buy again
