My knives and scissors stay in place perfectly thanks to the magnets. My primary motivation for acquiring this item was to replace a broken knife holder of a similar design. The quality difference between this one and the other is significant. The magnet in this knife block holder is powerful enough to keep my blades and scissors without damaging the plexiglass. The area between the blocks is large enough for me to clean my scissors and store them. It does not take up any room on my counter; in fact, it has freed up a significant amount of counter space while also offering storage. The price is excellent. You won't be able to find a nicer display block for less money. Purchase it! :)
