Good for my hand and wrist braces

Pros: The edges are finished and won't cut into my skin. I've worn these braces a few times and am picky about skin comfort. There is a label to help you remove the palm for washing. The edges of the tire do not touch the skin. There are flexible splints on the sides of the thumb but I don't see how they can be removed and once removed they will be difficult to replace. Speaking of thumbs, the base fits snugly without cutting off blood flow. The upper joint is still moving, so if you try to immobilize that as well, this brace won't do it if your thumbs are very short. Cons: The braces are a little longer than I wanted, but not a deal killer. The edges of the velcro will fray as the velcro is not sewn to the fabric to stabilize it. The wrist strap and bottom strap are connected to each other, so they cannot be adjusted independently. This will be a problem for those whose arm diameter just above the wrist is significantly larger than the wrist diameter. It is no problem for me. I suppose the linkage could be shortened for more control, but then you'll encounter more wear and tear. I just don't see the point of having 2 straps when connected. I wish I didn't need a brace, let alone one with a thumb stabilizer, but that's about it. I've been wearing it for 2 days now and mostly forget I'm wearing it. I have retired due to medical conditions that prevent me from being very active, so I don't know how well this brace will work for tasks that require a lot of arm movement. Overall I am a fairly satisfied customer.

Pros
  • hand and wrist braces
Cons
  • crumpled packaging
