This little chopper/food processor works surprisingly well. The shape of the blades means you don't have to stop and clean the bowl by pushing food towards the blades. This is a kind of self-cleansing. I wish they had made a bigger one too, with slicing and slicing discs and a feed tube. It is very well designed and fun to use and even look at. It sits on my windowsill over the kitchen sink and is so cute. The rubber ring at the bottom ensures it doesn't move when you use it. It's louder than I hoped. I wanted to use it at a time of day when an electric food processor or blender might disturb others, but it's too noisy for a quiet time. It's a different sound than an electric motor, but it's a sound nonetheless. You should also be aware that it will not do some of the jobs that a coffee grinder could. It cannot grind harder substances such as linseed or spices. This applies to vegetables, herbs and fruit.
