In summary, you get the impression that this is a high-quality item that, for some reason, performs poorly. It's advantages include: - Solid construction. Nothing rattles or hangs loose. Hold on to the seat and don't let yourself fall forward of the headrest! Oversized ear cushions will not squeeze your ears into a cylinder. The antenna "penetrates" the building. Not much, but an improvement over the Bluetooth whistle and headphones of yore. Both the microphone's rotational mechanism and a separate button can be used to activate the on/off sound indicator, with the latter being the more convenient option. - There are a limited number of configurations possible in the G-Hub for the button, however if you don't need to disable the microphone, you can assign it to another purpose. The headphones' construction makes swapping out the batteries a breeze. - You can listen to music while your headphones charge (maybe this is a standard among PC headsets, but the headset I have from JBL turns off when the charging cable is connected) The downsides include: - Weird audio. The music from video games sounds muffled and has very weak mids and highs. While listening to music in the background, I made an effort to fine-tune the equalization until the sound was "more or less right." The issue has been resolved, but the headphones' lackluster performance is attributable to the need for constant equalization. The G-charge Hub's meter is acting Quite erratically. After the session, I plugged my headphones in to charge, but the remaining battery percentage showed just 10%, even though I had just charged them and had anticipated seeing 60%. Within one minute of switching between windows, I found that 70 percent of the charge had been applied to my G-Hub. As expected, when I cut the USB connection, the battery level dropped to 60%. The Windows system tray charge indicator is not minimized enough. It's inconvenient to use the app just to check the battery's contents.
