Very good first telescope

Fantastic purchase as a first telescope for amateur astronomers. This is my first telescope and I've only had it for about a week, but I've taken it out about 5 times (every clear night and every morning) and have been very happy with its performance. Like any other telescope, it takes a bit of getting used to, but overall easy to use. The star pointer is good, but it can easily be thrown out of alignment, but it gets the job done even if it's not the best. the Orion Nebula is a pretty gray nebula, I can make out Andromeda (although it can be difficult to find if it's not a unaided eye object!), and the moon is absolutely brilliant. The planets are good too, and I've watched Jupiter and Mars so far. You can make out some details on the planets but you really need to be patient, concentrate well, get your eyes focused and wait for those fleeting moments of a calmer atmosphere. I like the 20mm eyepiece and honestly it's the one I use the most (I also bought a Celestron Astromaster accessory kit with 15mm and 6mm lenses, a Barlow lens and some filters) . My biggest complaint is that even if it's correctly aligned to the North Pole and you've tightened the knobs, I always manage to easily move the scope to where it was aimed when changing eyepieces, and then I spend 10 minutes Find what I was looking for with trying again. This might be a bit of user error, but I think part of it is also because the scope isn't the most durable in the world, despite the very good tripod and mount that comes with it. Even a little tremor in my hands, which I don't usually notice, shakes the whole view, so you really have to find what you want and leave it alone for a second. All in all a very good telescope that works very well. I would recommend it to anyone looking for their first telescope or maybe just a cheaper telescope that is easier to pack up and take with you when you go on a trip.
