Review on Enhance Safety with Starlights SL-1000 Smart Light 1000 12-volt Exterior Motion Light in Black by Andrew Schobinger

I installed this on our RV to replace the factory porch lights. I didn't "need" a new light but in general I like LEDs, I wanted something brighter and chose this one because it also has a motion sensor function. I am very satisfied with this lamp. It puts out a nice bright white light and the motion sensor feature works pretty well. In my application the light is mounted above my door and I have a full wall track that is immediately to the left of the door so the left sensor on this light can't work properly, but that's not the fault of the product itself. I still love the light. The sensor on the right works great and also picks up movement right in front of the door so it serves its purpose. It looks way better than my factory headlights (on a 2013 diesel linkage). I like it so much that I order a second lamp with my other lamp. The only caveat I have to offer is that this light requires correct polarity and the sensor functions will not work if your bus wiring is reverse polarity. The installation instructions warn you against this, but I can recommend BEFORE you start installing, simply remove the old light, turn on the switch to power the wiring, then check polarity with a multitester. The first. You can also use the flashlight itself to check polarity (instructions are included with the flashlight) but I went through the installation before going to this step in your guide! Oops. never mind My polarity was fine, but this check is needed to ensure it works as advertised.
