They come in a pretty presentation box in case you don't have a pad to put them in. They are incredibly sharp! They cut the steak like hot butter! You look fantastic! a little longer than my other steak knives, but not by much. Since these are the sharpest knives around, I used them to chop the tomatoes. Like hot oil again! Even skin. I had to constantly watch where my fingers were because they ran so lightly over the tomatoes. Yes they are steak knives but I can use them for a variety of slicing and slicing jobs. I've only used them a few times. I only hand wash them and don't have a dishwasher so that's not a problem. Hope they hold up over time.
