How dare they not protect the screen!

I miss the good old days when you bought a case and it protected the screen. I think these phone case makers got in touch with these phone companies and agreed to remove the screen protector on purpose to force you to buy a million dollar new phone every 5 minutes because they knew that the screen would most likely be damaged during ownership. I assume they know that investing in a good case will extend the life of the phone and save the owner a lot of money in the long run. I have had a Samsung Note 3 for over 7 years and it has remained in perfect condition thanks to the fact that I had a quality case that PROTECTS THE SCREEN. And OtterBox made this case that kept my Note 3 in perfect condition. So you're almost forced to buy those stupid flimsy screen protectors that require a professional to install properly. because if you try to install it yourself, it will most likely look like crap (i.e. bubbles, cracks, dust on the slide, etc.). Also, these things aren't cheap. These self-installing screen protectors used to cost just a few dollars, going as high as $10 each. Now they cost between $30 and $55. And it's a huge waste. The installation instructions provided are unclear and do not fully fit the screen. I challenge OtterBox to give customers the option to either have a case with a screen protector or not. I don't use face recognition or fingerprint login, so I don't have to open the screen. These smartphones are even more expensive today than they were less than ten years ago. A good case protects your phone and lasts a long time.
