The Dalton was a Christmas present for my son who has been asking for one for the past two years. It was a lot cheaper at Revain's Verse than at our local pharmacy. Almost 3 months passed, he was thrown, trampled and slept with him; it still goes very strong. We had to swap out batteries and put in expensive batteries to improve performance, which helped a lot. His head doesn't move properly, but that's because he was slammed headfirst into a hard tile with the intention of ripping his head off. (Sibling rivalry takes a heavy toll on toys.) It's impressive that he's not broken, his head just doesn't move like it used to. This is a very good toy. If I could improve anything, it would be enough stories for an hour's drive. He also pauses and stops. You can also turn it off. I wish all loud toys had these features.
