So I gave my 8-year-old son a hamster for his birthday. I found it small and easy to clean. God, the first time I bought a hamster from a pet store, the clerk just threw all that hamster stuff left and right at me. Probably because he found out first that I'm a mother to a hamster. I obviously bought all the stuff lol. Fast forward 2 days later, my entire bedroom smelled of ammonia, aka "hamster urine." BANK. I couldn't even swallow. I thought this guy sold me "wet wipes" for bedding lol. Little did I know the bedding definitely makes a difference. So, as a Revainian shopper I'm all for it, lol I went in search of quality absorbent hamster litter. And it showed up. Good price and good reviews. I go from good to bad, if there's more good I'll try. I bought, arrived the next day with prime. When I say WHAT a difference! GOOGLE says to change your hamster's litter once a week, but who wants to sit in their own urine 6 days a week, hamster or not. So I change every 2-3 days for her comfort! However, I did experiment with these new sheets to really see how absorbent and odor-resistant they are. After 4 days I had to sniff her cage really hard to make sure she was peeing lol. Amazing product in terms of absorbency and odor control. However, it's not that soft, but not hard either. So I just mix it up with a soft cloth like the linens they sell too and twirl it around so it's both comfortable and absorbent. Whenever I change her sheets she is happy and running around lol.
