We wanted our little granddaughter to get this pendant right away and not have to wait for it to be assembled and we did. It wasn't difficult, except for the part of the handle that didn't want to fit in the part it was supposed to fit. My husband finally got over it. It took us about 2 hours to put everything together, mainly because of that. But the look on her face when she received her station wagon was priceless! She had wanted him for a long time and just took him with her, pulled him with her from all sides. If you don't want to spend extra money on a Radio Flyer - this one is basically the same - a good van that should last you a while!
